Class attendance winners for September 2012

Well done to Miss Blakemore's Class - Green Class in the Foundation Phase ! Also a huge congratulations to Mrs Coombs' Class as Key Stage 2 winners ! Keep up the great work , the class with the highest attendance at the end of each term will win a special free trip !!! :)

Mrs Gedney goes to London

Well done Mrs Gedney ! She spent the day in London on Monday and met all the UK award winners ! Fantastic so proud of you !

Kimi's Secret winners

Well done to pupils in Mrs Hughes' class who have won prizes following their entries using the text they have been studying . Menna year 6 was the junior winner of the crow poem . Caitlin won the creative drawing of the famoose. Both pupils win signed copies of the book ! Ben and Shannon came 2nd and 3rd respectively. Well done everyone , take a look on the website for more details .

Moving on day

Thanks to all the parents who attended our moving on "meet the teacher" event yesterday , hope you all found it informative ? It was a great turn out ! Thanks to all staff for their preparation for the event.

Cauldrons and Furnaces

A inspirational two nights of performances from our pupils ! Even the rain didn't put them off ! When they sang about water the heavens opened both nights , how about that for timing ! Well done everyone , thanks to parents and staff for supporting the event ! A special thank you to Mrs Williams for all her hard work with the choir . Millie a fab solo very moving . Thanks also to Heads 4 Arts , Kate , Bethan and Helen .

Heritage Day

Many thanks to all the pupils , parents and staff who supported the Anniversary walk! I think we made the event , everyone looked amazing ! Thanks to all those who helped make the costumes ! The weather was fine - how lucky were we ! :)

Heritage Weekend 30th June

Come and join us on Saturday for our Anniversary Walk . We are meeting at school at 11.45 and leaving school at 12.30 to walk to King Street. We will begin our anniversary service at 1.45 pm at Park Street Chapel. Please come and join us , if you havent arranged a costume via school you will need to come dressed in Victorian Clothing.

We are looking forward to our two performances at the Ironworks this weekend  ! I look forward to seeing our choir performing .

Sports Days

We managed to beat the weather ! A fantastic week of events both in school and at recreation ground ! Many thanks to all the staff particularly Mrs Jones for organising the sporting events.  Thanks to all of you who came to support us :)

Welsh Teaching Assistant of the Year!

Mrs Gedney was awarded National Teaching Assistant of the year today ! A fantastic honour for her . Many thanks to parent Nikki Matthews for nominating her. She is an amazing and inspirational teaching assistant . Well done Mrs Gedney from all of us at BHVC !
